"Vivian's Bubbles" Wool Rug Hooking...

My one year old granddaughter would watch in awe as the bubbles spread across my computer monitor, when the screen saver would appear.  I designed "Vivian's Bubbles" after Vivian's love of those bubbles.

I hooked this rug with a # 6 cut wool on Scottish Burlap.
I hand dyed all the vibrant colors using my original dye recipes.

The most time consuming part of this rug was the checkerboard border.
It was the first thing I hooked on the rug.
The edge has been finished with 100% wool yarn that has been whipped around cotton cording to provide an attractive and durable edge.

This Rug measures 36in. x 54.5in. (91.44cm x 138.43cm)

"Vivian's Bubbles" will be shown at the Artisans' Porchwalk in Historic Lititz, PA on Friday, Oct. 12 and Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
I will be located at 206 South Spruce Street. (Stop #4)

I will also be offering a selection of Hand Dyed Wool, Needlekeepers, String Bags, Pillows, Ornament Hangers, Patterns / Kits, Penny Rugs and more...

This is a beautiful time of year to stroll Historic Lititz and enjoy the amazing work of many talented Juried Artists.
Lititz also offers many lovely shops and eateries, all within walking distance in town.

If you are local or in the area, please stop by and say hi...I would love to meet you ! ;)

What a great idea, and I love the way you faded the colors where the circles overlap! I'm with Vivian. I love that screensaver for some reason. :) [#TALU]
