Wool Hanging Envelope...

This is a very simple design and can be embellished any way you would like.
I have seen many versions of this hanging "pouch".
This one is made from two circles of wool, equal in size.
One of the circles is folded down to create an "envelope"
to place threads, beads, etc. into.
(It could be used to house a gift card, or small gift also.)

The flowers are pieced from wool and then hand embroidered onto the front circle.
I have used glass beads and crystals to embellish the blooms.

A hanging loop was added to the top.
The edge was finished with a Glass Beaded Blanket Stitch.
I have this piece hanging from a hook on one of my Wool Hutches.

  1. Such a lovely idea. It looks quite old fashioned, which is a good thing to me.
