Redware Pottery...

Over the weekend, the Manheim Railroad Station was home
to a wonderful Folk Art Show.
There were about 12 local Artisans displaying their hand crafted items.

I purchased this beautiful Redware dish from Andrew Loercher from Lancaster, PA

He explained how he uses real flowers / leaves
and presses them into the pottery to make the impression.
All of his pottery is food safe.
Each one is beautifully detailed.
I especially like the way he has finished
the edge of this dish.

  2. This is beautiful! The colors are incredible. I googled him, but I don't see that he has a shop. I'd love to see more of his stuff when my friend and I go to Lancaster in March for the quilt show. Will he have things at a show or fair then, do you think? Will you? I'd love to see your work! I've never been to Lancaster, so I don't know all the in's and out's of what there is. My friend has, so she will be the one in the know! I'm making a list of things I'd like to see and do, so any ideas you have, I'd love to hear them! Thanks, Rose!
