I love unexpected gifts...
This week, my # 2 daughter presented me with a beautifully packaged gift.
A 4in. x 4in. x 3in. dark teal lacquered wood box, tied up in shiny black ribbon.
No special reason, simply a generous spirit.
(How can you not feel special. ;)
A fancy pair of socks ! I love socks...all kinds of socks.
Cozy, warm and colorful.
I am grateful !
But, there is more.....
The inside of this box is an amazing colorful Paisley.
And even the inside of the lid is lined.
I have plans for this little wooden lacquered box.
I would love to do some punch needle or rug hook a little mat for on top of the lid !
Hmmmm...the ideas are churning. ;)
(Someone should have told my daughter that she never had to buy the socks ! The box was a gift enough.)
Lol. This reminds me of a kid at Christmas who plays with the box instead of the toy inside. It is beautiful. What a nice surprise.
