Wool Applique In Jacobean Flowers...

I love combining Wool Applique with Hand Embroidery.
Piecing a flower is like
the adult version of using crayons in a coloring book as a child.
Deciding which color goes where, trying to bring it all together.

First I hand piece the flower using soft wool fabric in both solids and textures.  Most of the wool is hand dyed to give me an assortment of colors to work with.

The next step is the embellishment.
When you combine hand embroidery, crystals,
glass beads and semi-precious stones,
it brings the design to life and gives it a presence.

These Jacobean Flower Designs, as well as others,
can be found in my Studio.

There is currently a promotion running until the end of February 2013
for the Jacobean Flower Designs.
