Wools And Jewels....

As I looked over some of my most recent projects and
selections of hand dyed wool, I am seeing some reoccurring colors !
Teal - Mineral Blue - Aqua - Caribbean Sea
Soft and soothing colors.

This sparkling Brooch is a recent purchase from Waterrose.
It is a Vintage 1940s Brooch.  The very minute I saw it, I fell in love with it.

It has a slight dome shape and the colors are clear and soft.
It is stunning and will look great on a jacket or to secure a scarf / wrap.

Rose (from Waterrose), is a Textile Artist that specializes in Hand Embroidery.
She has been featured in Quilting Arts Magazine, Cross Stitch and Needlework, and other publications.

These are several of her Metalwork with Hand Embroidery designs.
Each of these is a Brooch.  Rose blends hand embroidery with copper, silver, etc. for a one of a kind hand crafted piece to treasure.  So beautiful and unique !

  1. Good Afternoon Rose, Your 1940's brooch is so beautiful and the colours are glorious.
I do hope you wear it often, as it will sparkle beautifully in the sun. I am sure it will bring a smile to peoples faces, when they see you wearing it.
    Have a lovely day.
    Best Wishes

  2. Love that brooch! Your most recent color selections are a lot like mine. I just love all of those blues/greens/aquas. Something so serene and comforting about them all. (By the way, I found you through Sew Many Ways linky party!)
