Great Embroidery Resource...

I am often asked if I know of any good books to help with Embroidery skills.
I have several "go to" books that are excellent learning tools,
whether you are a beginner or are skilled in embroidery.

"Embroidery Techniques & Patterns" by Marie-Noelle Bayard is an easy to understand embroidery guide, filled with step by step instructions
with pictures to guide you through each step.

This book features over 100 different Embroidery Stitches.
It also gives a review of Embroidery threads, floss,
scissors, frames and different needles.

Appendix - Visual index of stitches

One of my favorite features of this book is the Index.
There are two Stitch indexes in the book.
The obvious index is the standard list of stitches with the page number.

However, they also included a visual index.  How smart is that ??
Often I know what stitch I want, however I can't remember what it is called.
Seeing a picture, a name and page number is a huge time saver.
