Wool Applique Foxglove...

I have been working on my Foxglove...
I hand embroidered the stem using a Hungarian Braided Chain Stitch.
This stitch gives the stems presence, but isn't too thick.

The blooms have been Blanket stitched into place.  At the top of each spire,
I added French Knots and a few glass seed beads
to represent tiny buds that are forming, but not yet open.

I embellished each foxglove bloom with a scattering
of VERY tiny glass beads.  (size 15)
I like to use these very small glass beads
to add just a hint of texture and sparkle.

More to come as this project moves along...
