Still Of The Night...

In the still of the night...
A pumpkin patch, lit by a sliver of moon.
Bare tree limbs.
A swirly night sky.
A single crow, keeping watch over all.

I can almost smell the cool, crisp night air,
heavy with the earthy scent of fallen leaves.

The 'Still Of The Night' punch needle pattern
is available in my Studio.
It measures approximately 6in. x 8.5in.
(15.24cm x 21.59cm)

As we take walks and go on hikes,
during these last few weeks of summer...
you can feel the cooler air in the morning
and see the occasional falling leaf.

In the evening, there is a certain sound and smell,
you just know - Autumn is creeping in ever so subtly.
It won't be long and summer will release her grip,
ever so gently.

Enjoy your weekend...
Rose

  3. Lots of nice detail in this piece - and it's so BIG - at least compared to the punch needle pieces I've made! I like it!

  4. And the house is so charming! I love the curved window and the rounded shakes on the roof! So sweet! And that swirly background is fantastic! Reminds me of Van Gogh's Starry Night! :o)

  7. Rose, I love your Still of the Night needlepunch design. Oh, btw, I have a very good friend who lives in Lancaster. She is a doll maker and hooker and her name is Shari Lutz. By any chance do you know her? She used to attend the Woolrights get-togethers but is really busy lately.

  9. Hi Rose,
Wow, the new design is wonderful - looks like something I could do - being new at this I like to keep the designs easy. You did great with making the night sky.
