At The Water's Edge...

Ocean City, New Jersey

One of my favorite places...
Relaxing at the water's edge.
I can keep an eye on the kids in the water,
stay cool and maybe even read a book.

The ocean water has been especially warm, relaxing
and beautiful this season.
(After such a cold and harsh winter,
the arrival of summer is so much sweeter.)

What a treasure for an 11y.o. boy to find!

hours of Boogie Boarding)

Combing the beach for shells and sea glass.

Susquehanna River, Pennsylvania

The following weekend spent along a vast river...
boating, canoeing and
just paddling away the day.

I love carefree days like these,
mostly because they come along so rarely.

A beautiful horse farm sits high on the hillside
and overlooks the river filled with sail boats.
(Sounds like a story book !)

Relaxing at the water's edge ;)

Enjoy your day...
Rose

  1. Ohhhh that is lovely...when my two children were young--I would take them to the beach EVERY day--even in the rain as they had mandatory swim instruction! My chair was always at the water's edge--insert toes-ies ahhhh, lay back, sip iced tea...yes, Summer has arrived!! Good for you...hugs, Julierose

  3. I've lived on the eastern shore all my life so the local beaches of Lewes, Dewey, Rehoboth of Delaware and Ocean City, MD are all less than an hour away. This time of year is not my favorite time to go since it is over populated with visitors which brings in great revenue for the states, for sure. But my favorite time to go is after college starts in the fall and before school ends in the spring. But yes, it is a beautiful sight.

  11. Your blog was a bright spot that brought me some much needed "calmness" this morning when I looked at your pictures.

  12. I can tell that you've been enjoying yourself! I'm not a huge fan of the ocean, but maybe I just haven't discovered the right spot yet? Nice!
