Gardening And Stitching...

Cleome

The gardens are in full swing.
They are enjoying the cooler than normal temps.

Usually by August, I abandon the 'weed pulling'
and pick up a needle...
The gardens are now left on their own.

And amazingly, they will still go on
blooming without me pruning, pulling weeds
 and fussing over them.
(funny how that works)

Perfectly Paisley Wool Applique

The paisley designs have been finished
into a wall hanging.
The Patterns should be ready within the week. ;)
(And not a moment to soon,
with a wedding in the works and a show in October !)

This Wool Applique Wall Hanging
(and the book of patterns)
will be at the Artisans' Porchwalk
in Lititz, Pennsylvania on October 3 and 4, 2014.

Enjoy your Wednesday !

  3. I was thinking about your upcoming wedding today. I wondered how those plans were coming along. I am so impressed with the beauty of your garden and with your needle.
It sounds like you have your fall in full swing. Yes, by August I am no longer trying to beat the weeds. I just sort of give up. I know they will be taken care of the first cool day.
    Have fun this Wednesday.

  5. Such beautiful photos, nature is so inspiring. It's been so hot the weeds are taking over
and making me want the cool weather to come so it can all be cleaned up.
