This design has a lot of detail,
and I have been staying with colors
that would have been available
and used in that time period.

Sparrow eggs

My #2 Daughter found this nest in an old
wreath, at her farmhouse.
There are actually two nests in one wreath !
The above nest has eggs...

The second nest has sweet little fuzzy babies !

Happy Mother's Day !
Have a beautiful weekend, friends...

  1. How pretty!! I am starting to really love Fraktur design. I always really enjoy seeing your work.
The baby birds are just lovely too. How fun to find them in a wreath.
I always love the colors you choose.

  2. Thanks for introducing me to this delightful type of design. I think your present needle punch would look great also done in wool appliqué. Can't wait for your final reveal, the colour palate is lovely.

Great pictures of the bird nests and babies!

  3. Birds, one of my favorite subjects in life and in needlework. Something so small and seemingly helpless but so strong and full of life and energy. Great photo's Rose.
