  1. The wee book is delightful! One of my resolutions is to finally start to do water color journaling. I've thought about it for years and now entering my 62nd year soon, I think it is time to get those brushes, pencils and paints out and just start. I do have a "quotes/poems/thoughts book that I started years ago and when something really special comes along I take my time to print nicely (it's a challenge, I assure you) and save for my grand daughter to read someday. I hope you have a simply wonderful New Year. I love reading your posts.

  3. Hi, My name is Dee and I am a new follower to your lovely blog. I have been admiring your creativity and craftsmanship. I am not sure I qualify for the drawing but I would love to win your journal. I have been away from my own blog because of illness. My New Years resolution is to return to my blog the the first week in January. I feel inspiration from your blog to also return to my needle punch and rug hooking although that is not what I blog about. Happy New Year!!! Dee

  5. Rose....that little flower is so lovely! My resolution this year is to make time every day for some stitching! I realize I'm a much happier and kinder person when I've spent time stitching, and feeling like I've accomplished something. Of course, that means I need to spend A LOT less time on this dang computer! I have to keep reminding myself that winning a stupid game is NOT an accomplishment! :o)

  7. What a great little journal! I don't usually make resolutions, but I am determined to learn how to use my sit-down quilting machine that I bought second hand a few months ago. It's just been sitting in my studio and I have SO many quilts that need to be finished. Wish me luck!

  8. I'd love to have a chance to win the journal with the perfect stitching you always do. I already eat healthy, walk, and weight is no problem for several years now.

But reading NFF post the other day I saw Lori's stack of journals which had sketches, words, quotes and thought that I should be more introspective and do the same. So I'd like to train myself to do the same.

  11. I love this little journal! A few goals for the new year: healthy eating, physically moving , I am not going to say exercise but if I just move it will be an accomplishment and fasting from the Internet one day a week.

  12. That is just beautiful.

  13. One of my biggest goals is to increase my veggie intake even more than I have been, and I want to save 4 times as much as I have been. Both are attainable, because there has been so very little of the last, and only some of the first, go me! :)

  17. Hi Rose, what a lovely Journal! My New Years Resolution is to be kinder to people and to treat others as I would want to be treated. I'm not a bully but sometimes I speak before I think how it might sound. I would use the Journal to chronicle my journey.

  25. My new year resolution is easy. I want to stitch. Sounds simple but since we moved in May I haven't been able to stitch. My husband hurt his back and needed spinal surgery. He got MRSA (a staph infection) and is still in the hospital. He had 7 surgeries and been moved from hospital to hospital 11 times. If all goes well we expect him home sometime in January but he can'st stand or walk so he is in rehab to build up his strength. It has been a very stressful year and stitching is my therapy. I need my therapy too!

  26. What a beautiful journal! Thanks for your generous giveaway. I reach age 60 in October and my "resolution" this year is to get ready for the summer of 2017 when I plan to walk the hiking trails of Cape Cod. This calendar year of 2016 I plan to prepare by eating healthy, exercising regularly and taking little hikes around our little state of Rhode Island. This lovely journal would be just the thing to record my journey. Thanks!
