Wool Applique
The evenings are long...
6:00 p.m. feels like 9:00 p.m.
and the temps are balmy.
December ??
I'm feeling a little confused !
Wool Applique has been filling my time.
The steady movement of the needle
is relaxing and a perfect way
to fill the long winter evenings.
Some hand dyed wool and Valdani variegated Perle
Do you recognize this design ??
This wool applique is going to be a 'finish' for
the Primitive Pinwheels punch needle design.

Only 10 more days until Christmas...
time to wrap gifts...
if I can only put down this needle and thread !
Enjoy your day...

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun pattern. I can't decide which I like better, the punch needle or the applique.
ReplyDelete10 days until Christmas. Please tell me it isn't so!!!
Hugs :)

Yup,I agree with Robyn that your stitches are always perfect. Nice colors and wish I had more patience to do the needlepunch and wool applique because that is far more portable than rug hooking. But alas, I've become addicted to the hook.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And, yes... VERY relaxing! I've got a full day of wool applique ahead of me today! Yippee! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour work is always so neat and clean, I get little fray edges on curves and go back to what I know, quilts, punching and rug hooking.
ReplyDeleteBut Oh how I love the look of wool applique.
I MUST conquer this process, as I want to make this big bed cover from a Maggie Bonanomi book I have.....
I love that quilting, punchneedle & rug hooking are so connected - many designs can be produced in any of these mediums and your new wool version of your pinwheel design is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteFUN!!!Merry CHristmas Rose!
