I decided to Blanket stitch this design
onto a piece of striped wool...

around the edge twice,
using Valdani Variegated Perle Cotton...

I experimented a little with this look,
and decided I liked the finish.

is available as a pattern or as a kit. 
 Kit will include light wool for backing
and all of the colored wool needed for
 the wool applique design.

Design can be finished into a pillow,
framed, placed on a tote bag or 
placed on a hornbook, etc.

these are a few found in our back lawn
and the bottom one 
was spotted by a friend, in their back lawn.

  2. My husband has picked mushrooms with his grandfather and father until they passed. He advised not eating these! I love the double blanket stitch.
