Stitching Wool Pennies...

Wool Penny Tree Skirt by Rose Clay at ThreeSheepStudio.com

Since we turned our clocks back,
I'm not sure how much I love that it gets
dark out at about 5 o'clock !

One thing I am sure about,
is I need something to keep my hands busy,
or I just want to curl up like a cat
and fall asleep (way to early),
on these cold, dark evenings.

I dyed some houndstooth wool last year
in a rich caramel brown.

It will be a tree skirt for a small

  3. Oh no, I'd better get me a new hand project cause I do turn into a
Cat, ha, ha, couldn't resist. I've had a flare up of a stomach problem and that's all I want to do is curl up on these gray wet days.
I so love all your wool pennies.

  7. terrific tree skirt, I have trouble with the time change every year, I just want to go to bed t 6:00, then I'm up at midnight ready to go! I find the blanket stitch to be a zen practice, very relaxing Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  8. What a great idea for all those pennies...you give me inspiration. Perfect for a wooly tree. Question...when I do my pennies I always start with sewing the pennies first then adding them to the mat...am I doing something wrong?

  11. May I ask if you cut your pennies by hand with scissors or ?
I must admit that I like to buy them already cut. However, that limits you. Just wondering. I looks wonderful and it is inspiring, not that I need anymore inspiration. Lost count of all my bucket lists. ;o)
    Peace, Barb
