Small candy tins are calling my name...

I guess I have a habit of collecting
all kinds of small sturdy containers,
with the idea of repurposing them...

A few scraps of wool...

Some scattered embroidery stitches....

A fancy button and some glass beads...

These small tins, that once held candy,
now hold my pins or other
small stitching supplies,
or 'whatnots'.

I have these sitting around my Studio...
they always make me smile
when I reach for one of them.

  1. Your tins are so cute. I too save little tins, that someday I'll do something with.

  2. I love your tins, I also love working with wool. Did you use cotton fabric on the bottom of the wool before attaching to the tin?

  7. What a great idea. I have tins and heart shaped boxes that I hang onto and I love and I like how creative you are, not to mention getting wool and working with wool is always just the best.

  11. I am a collector of tins also. Was just given a bunch of the eclipse tins but not sure what to add to them. Would you share what you have done with this type of thing?

  12. Thanks for posting this. I recently found some tins I had collected and was wondering what to do with them. I am using them to organize some of my office supplies and now I can make them look nice too.
