If I Could Save Time In A Bottle...

Over the years...

Each time a watch was "discarded" in our home,

I threw it into a jar.  There were numerous reasons why 
any one of us no longer wanted to wear our watches.

Styles change, on occasion a few simply didn't work anymore, 
or kids grew up and wanted a more mature style.

Into the jar they were tossed and now time is ticking away in a jar.  

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is to save every day

Amazingly, some of the batteries are still going !

(And yet, when you really want the battery to last, 
you don't even get a year from it...go figure !)

I enjoy going through this jar...

I lovingly handle each watch and think back to who it belonged to 
and what year they wore it...  it's a trip down memory lane.

A collection I never meant to start,

but somehow just appeared one day.
