It was a bitter cold weekend...
perfect for staying inside with floss and linen.

If you look closely at the border, you can
see the shading in the hand dyed threads.

A kettle of soup is coming together on the stove,
dinner rolls are rising,
we are expecting more snow and ice today...
looks to be a fine day for stitching.
Stay warm and safe...

Gorgeous! What beautiful shades of thread to be stitching with on a day like today. Very cold here in Central NJ too... snow to ice to rain... yep... good thing the office is closed for President's Day... I'll be home stitching all day today...
ReplyDeleteIt is just beautiful Rose! I love the colors and how vibrant they look. I got to stitch a tiny bit last night, and I find myself so lost in the designs and the colors. Have a lovely snow day.
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing Rose, the background is lovely. All our local cross stitch shops closed I think there were about five in the area, I miss going and fondling the threads and choosing backgrounds. Internet shopping for that passion is difficult.
ReplyDeleteI heard of a great shop in Portland Oregon I'll check out in July. Also a bit closer to home is a smaller one in Lynden Washington. Otherwise a ferry journey across to Victoria!
Nothing better on a cold snowy day than a pot of soup. Your cross stitch is delightful but far too tedious for these eyes and hands.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Rose! You are making such progress!!
ReplyDeletesounds completely perfect. How lovely your stitching is.
