His eye is on the Sparrow...

Counted Cross Stitch by Rose at ThreeSheepStudio.com - Design by Beth Twist of Heartstring Samplery

My work has slowed on this project,
which is okay and I expected that would happen
with the change in weather.
It's hard to stitch when it's sunny and warm outside.

~
I enjoy gardening almost as much as
I enjoy stitching...almost.

I try to work on this very large piece
about 3 times a week, for 45 min. at a sitting.

I now have almost 1/4 of the design completed.
(almost !)

Several people are stitching along with this piece.
For me, the more challenging part of this design,
clearly was the large flower basket.
But, I also had to tear out the leafy oval above
the main part of the house, at least 3 times !

My favorite part, thus far,
is that folky old steer.  He is very fun.

Foxglove

My foxglove is in it's full glory...

Foxglove

Every year these plants show up
and bloom like there is no tomorrow.

At the end of the blooming season,
they drop their seeds and new plants emerge
during the summer.  Next summer those new
plants will bloom and do the same thing.
So we never run out of foxglove, year after year !

Foxglove

I love their randomness...
kind of messy, cottage look.
They sprout and bloom wherever
they chose and they don't like to be moved.

day by day
nothing changes
but when you look back
everything is different..."

Make the most of your day.
