I loved working on this
Punch Needle piece...
There is just something about
the gorgeous shades of
variegated Perle Cotton...
the gorgeous shades of
variegated Perle Cotton...
But, most of all I love when I get to
combine BOTH Punch Needle Embroidery
and Hand Embroidery.
Punch Needle Tip:
When you are punching a design and
turn over your hoop or frame,
this is what you might see...
lines and edges that have "blurred".
As you punch the various areas,
use your needle tip to nudge any stray loops
into place on the front.
This will keep the details in your design,
crisp and clear.
Country House...

This design uses a combination of
punching and a few simple
hand embroidery stitches.
It's a fun combo and the pattern will guide you through
the easy steps to bring it all together.

ReplyDeleteIts lovely and I will use this tip. Its been so busy around here but I think I am at a place to finally start Mr. Bilbo. When my oldest little girl was two, she would wear these little overalls and we would always say, "Mr Bilbo Baggins what do you have in your pocketes," I can't spell it quite right. She always had funny things in her pockets. Isn't it sweet the things you remember? Have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteOh thanks for the tip I am a very new punch person and get very discouraged when thinks become blurry when punched.
