Rug Hooking Frame and Cover...

This is a cover I made for my rug hooking frame.
It is made from one solid piece of wool.
I have blanket stitched a lined pocket onto the front, to hold my scissor and hook.

Using wool that I have hand dyed, I pieced leaves and acorns onto the front, then embellished them with hand embroidery.

The rug hooking frame has sharp teeth to hold or "grip" the rug I am hooking.  The cover allows me to transport the frame safely and easily.

I am very fond of the Beaded Blanket Stitch so I use it often !  I have applied a Beaded Blanket Stitch on the edges of the cover.  I like the look, but it also gives some weight to the cover and helps it to "lay down" over the frame.
