I have a collection of old and worn
cotton quilts. But, they are not used
to 'cozy with'...
They are perfect to "cover up" my
tomato plants when the night time
temperatures fall to freezing.
I use clothes pins to secure the quilts
around the tomato plants...
These are my tomatoes today,
at the end of October. I am hoping to have
homegrown tomatoes at Thanksgiving.
I've already had them at Christmas,
but it depends on if the weather cooperates !
Pulling colors for a new Punch Needle project...
Something angelic maybe ?
Wings that take flight...
(all those little loops, almost look like tiny little pearls)

~Also, I have been receiving MANY, many
requests for the Wool Feather Tree directions.
I now have a link on my side bar, for
how to obtain them.
(Just click on the pic of Wool Feather Trees)
Have a wonderfully creative day.

Every year I am going to make a wool feather tree and have yet to do it...sigh.
ReplyDeleteYour new project looks amazing.
Hugs :)

I have a goose feather tree I made years ago which had dyed green feathers and enjoy it. Have been tempted to make a wool feather tree but haven't yet. Lauren, maybe you and I should take on that challenge.
ReplyDeleteRose, I'm jealous of your tomatoes as I'd mentioned before. Smart woman to protect the bounty.
Your needle punch project is looking wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried punch art...love the way it looks. I'm especially looking forward to your finish as I love angels.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning,
ReplyDeleteI tried to purchase the directions for making a wool feather tree, but they are sold out. Any other source that you can think of?
Thanks much.

I love your angel wings. I do hope you are able to have fresh tomatoes at Christmas. That is positive thinking. :)
ReplyDeleteWe were so foggy this morning I couldn't even see the fences. :)
Can't wait to see the angel "en toto".
ReplyDeleteCozy tomatoes are happy tomatoes! :-) Love how this angel design is coming along! Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteNice idea to cover the plants with the quilts♥
