I've been working on some wool applique
for this gorgeous black and white wool background.

Lots of vibrant colors, which pair nicely
with black and white checks...

Folksy wool flowers...

I worked some simple Interlaced Back Stitch
for the stems... gives the stem some texture,
without being overcomplicated.
(Go to Interlaced Back stitch to see how
easy this stitch is !)

Old Fashioned Lilac

It's damp, spritzy and overcast here.
But the flowers don't seem to mind !
Can you smell this Old Fashioned Lilac ??
This might be the earliest it has bloomed
in many years.

Have a lovely weekend...
Rose

  2. You sure do know your stitches!!!
No lilacs for me this year. I pruned mine to death last year so I knew it would not bloom :( Yours looks beautiful!

  3. Those Lilacs are fantastic. The wool applique is coming along very well with all those lovely colors on the black and white checks. It will be a gorgeous runner when finished.
