I've been working on some wool applique
for this gorgeous black and white wool background.
Lots of vibrant colors, which pair nicely
with black and white checks...
Blanket stitching everything into place...
Folksy wool flowers...
I worked some simple Interlaced Back Stitch
for the stems... gives the stem some texture,
without being overcomplicated.

easy this stitch is !)

I've embellished the flowers with

You sure do know your stitches!!!
ReplyDeleteNo lilacs for me this year. I pruned mine to death last year so I knew it would not bloom :( Yours looks beautiful!

Those Lilacs are fantastic. The wool applique is coming along very well with all those lovely colors on the black and white checks. It will be a gorgeous runner when finished.

ReplyDeleteI knew you would do something wonderful with that wool. I don't do brights but still love this piece.
