Stitching continues on
'His eye is on the Sparrow' sampler,
by Beth Twist of Heartstring Samplery.
I don't usually use a 'needle minder'...
I have not found one that is actually
'strong' enough to securely hold my needle.
But I couldn't resist this one with the
owl and a 'fingernail' moon.
The winter months are a great time to make
some progress on this very large piece.
Stitch count: 435 x 363
Received this lovely package in the mail last week.
The most beautiful 30ct. linen...
from The Primitive Hare.
I'm dreaming of ways to use this amazing fabric !
Have a wonderfully creative weekend...

I have so considered getting that unique linen…and wondering what amazing design I would save for it!!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy...
ReplyDeleteIt is a treasure and I will hold onto this linen for just the right project to do it justice !!

What a lovely piece of linen. It reminds me of a fabric I used in reverse for an appliqué piece I designed of a basket of tulips. I love fabric with words.
ReplyDeleteAre you using the called for floss on this sampler? They are beautiful together.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about your progress on His Eye. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThat linen is too cool!
Happy Sunday :)

Hi Krissy...
ReplyDeleteBeth has done an amazing job with the colors for her design. I kept the same colors.

BEautiful stitchery, Rose! I really like the linen from Primitive Hare, but do you actually stitch on it and if so, what would you stitch? It's very unique, but very lovely!
ReplyDeleteRose, your "Sparrow" stitch is coming along nicely...such a beauty! Love the linen!
ReplyDeleteRobyn
The linen is beautiful without any stitchery!
ReplyDeleteWhat incredible linen. I haven't seen that one. I was wondering how you were doing. I have worked on mine off and on. I am working on another UFO that I found. I hope to get back to mine soon. I love seeing your progress. Have a great new week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitches!
ReplyDeleteOh My!! The threads selected for "His Eye Is on the Sparrow are absolutely beautiful. The finished photo does not show how colorful. Been wanting to stitch this, but wondered how to fit it in. Wish I knew about your SAL when it started, since that is really helpful for large projects. thanks for the pics; it is beautiful
