This was my first attempt at Needle Felting. While attending a Fiber Festival in Virginia, I couldn't resist the colorful puffs of wool roving
that were being sold everywhere !
I mixed needle felting with hand embroidery, glass beads, crystals and buttons.
The bouquet is very colorful and has a lot of texture.
Not sure how much needle felting I will be doing,
but it was fun to experiment with. ;)

ReplyDeleteYou are a wonderful stitcher and your work here is so pretty! I do a lot of stitching on wool roving and wool applique. I often begin with a bit of needle felting to anchor wool pieces and wool roving. Then I do a bit of wet felting to limit the fuzziness. I give it a hair cut then I begin to stitch. Its not as involved as it sounds, and it makes your stitching surface so nice to work on.
